There never has been much doubt that Mike Modano is among the NHL's elite players, but just in case there was any uncertainty somewhere, he erased it earlier this week when he scored his 500th career goal. Anyone who knows anything about me knows that I hate the Dallas Stars, but I am a Modano fan. He was a member of the Minnesota North Stars when Norm Green (or Norm Greed), moved them from the Twin Cities to the South. He has been a member of the same organization for his whole pro career. I was glad to see him make it to 500 goals, but I don't want to see him holding the cup anytime soon!
