My Cubbies are now 1-1 on the season! They beat the Cincinnati Reds 4-1 on Wednesday. That rocks! Ted Lilly made a big impact in his Cubs debut, allowing just three hits over seven strong innings of work. The left-hander struck out nine and walked just one, helping Lou Piniella to his first win as manager. Aramis Ramirez paced the offense with three hits and two runs.Carol Hughes, a co-worker of mine is a huge Cubs fan, too. She is taking the train to Chicago for the Cubs Home Opener at Wrigley. Yes! I am jealous! I also envy Jeremy and Taunia for having them as a home baseball team!
