Funny photo that I found. It's a guy thing! LOL!

Back to the Blog! Thanks to Pat Green.

I am very sorry that I haven't kept everyone "in the loop" with what I am up to. I am very, very busy. This week we have been swamped at Winfield Country Roundup. We had Pat Green at the event on Thursday. He is great! I have been able to do a few shows with him now. He recorded this message for the Blog when I saw him on Thursday. He is a prankster, so there's nothing wrong with the audio. Just watch the whole video. You can find out more about Pat at www.patgreen.com and the roundup at www.winfieldcountryroundup.com. I will update more later.

We had to stop by a Kansas Wind Farm

We are back home now. I went off the path on the way back, though. I got off at the Beaumont, KS exit on Highway 400 Sunday afternoon to go to the Elk River Wind Farm to take some pictures. These things are HUGE! Here's three of them, but there are literally tons more. You can find out more about it at the following link: http://www.kake.com/news/headlines/2789371.html

Another picture from Picher

Here's another shot that I took of the damage from the Picher, OK tornado. It is very sad.

We ran into a mess Sunday

Here's a picture that I took Sunday afternoon in the town of Picher, OK. It was hit by a tornado that killed 6 people a couple of weeks ago. You can see that the trees are just peeled and that there is a mess everywhere. That's not a mountain or hill behind the damage. That is a chat pile. You need to stay away from those. Why? Check this out: http://ok.water.usgs.gov/tarcreek/ or http://toxics.usgs.gov/topics/minelands.html.

Here's what the Wichita Wranglers moved for

The Wichita Wranglers baseball team is now the Northwest Arkansas Naturals. They play in Springdale, Arkansas. They also have a brand new stadium. It's Arvest Bank Ballpark. I stopped off the road Saturday night and took a picture of the ballpark. It is awesome! It's the nicest minor league park that I have ever seen. They were playing Frisco (not the town in Colorado) Saturday night at Arvest Ballpark.

Here's Sleeping Giant

OK. Here's Sleeping Giant in Thunder Bay. It looks a lot different than the photo of the Ozarks that I snapped today, but that's what I thought when I saw it. Well, enjoy this shot anyway. :)

How's this for beautiful?

This is a shot that I got of the Ozarks in Northwest Arkansas on Saturday afternoon. This almost looks like "Sleeping Giant." That is an island near Thunder Bay, Ontario. I will try and find a photo of the Giant and compare it to this picture in the Ozarks.

Downtown Eureka Springs

I took this picture on one of the streets of Eureka Springs. It reminded me of a combination of Idaho Springs, Colorado and Boulder, Colorado. There's all types of people there. I like that very much. Neat place!

AWESOME!!!

Here's a picture of the sign at the restaurant that we ate at Saturday in Eureka Springs. We stumbled upon it. We were looking for a Mexican place, and almost gave up. We found the Oasis. There are only 6 tables in this place, but the food was incredible (and cheap). They used all fresh foods. It was honestly one of the best meals that I have ever had. Kristi loved what she ordered, too. I had the spinach, chicken, cheese and sour cream burrito and it came with an awesome salad with delicious dressing. I wanna go back already!!!

The Hubbards in Eureka Springs

Here's a photo that I shot of Kristi and me at the park in Eureka Springs, Arkansas on Saturday. That is a very cool town. I enjoyed it very much.

Saturday in Arkansas

We did a lot of driving in Saturday in Arkansas. Here's Kristi reading in the car as I try to get out of the Wal-Mart parking lot. She was getting the latest scoop in the Country Edition of "People."

Memorial Day Weekend

It's been an interesting Memorial Day Weekend so far. Kristi and I got in the rental car with no plans. We wanted to just get in the car and get away for a couple of days. We ended up in Bentonville, Arkansas. I am typing this on the laptop from my hotel room. Kristi is asleep. I am getting ready to go to bed, too. After all, this is also our Anniversary present to one another. So, I gotta go now. Wink! Wink! :)

Hockey dorks!!!

Here's a picture of me with my brother-in-law, Kory. We played on the same team last weekend. It was fun. We are planning on playing on the same team this summer. Who has the cheesier smile???

Another toothless person in Kansas!

Here's a picture that I snapped of Zach. He lost his first tooth last week. That thing had been dangling for weeks, but it finally came out. Interesting smile!

Zach's school program

Zach had his school program on May 15th. I told you that I had a lot of catching up to do. Here's a picture of Zach singing and moving his arms during their show. He seemed to have a lot of fun and got embarrassed when we watched him and smiled at him. He's so cute! Love you buddy!

I will try and catch up! I promise!!!

I have been swamped! I have a lot of catching up to do. There are pictures on the way from Zach's school program and other stuff! It's been about a week since I was able to get on the blog. I wanted to make sure to get my tribute to Grandma Hubbard and the B-Day wishes for Jamie up right away.
I got this picture e-mailed to me Thursday afternoon from my friend, Darren. It's from the Wichita River Festival hockey tournament that I was in. My team finished 3rd (out of 4 teams). I am the one on the right fighting for the puck. It was a great workout. I played 4 games in 3 days. I am hoping to play in the summer league. There are more pictures on the way. Have a nice day.

20 years ago today.

May 22, 1988 is a day that I will never forget. It was the day that I graduated from Garden City High School. It was a windy day and it took place in the gym at Garden City Community College. I had lots of family and friends there. It's hard to believe that it was 20 years ago. Man! How times have changed. Our 20 year reunion is on July 26th. I am not sure if I am going to make it, though. There's a lot going on between now and then, so I am not sure.

Happy B-Day Jamie!

I know that it's May 22nd, but this is the first chance that I got to get on the blog. I would like to wish a Happy (day late) B-Day to my cousin Jamie. He had an early present this past weekend when his daughter graduated from High School. I have been blessed with very cool relatives and he is a great cousin. I hope that you had a great day and I hope to see you soon. Happy B-Day!

Remembering Grandma Hubbard

I apologize that I haven't been able to keep this Blog updated much lately. I have been very busy with work at the station and doing the Wingnuts baseball games. May 21, 1987 is a day that I will never forget. It's the day that I lost my Grandma in a car accident. I still think about her all of the time. I wish that she could still be here to see my family. I am also very selfish and with that she was still here to make some of her delicious meals. :)
Grandma, I just want you to know that I miss you very much and I tell the kids about you all of the time. You were a great person and you never said anything bad about anyone. We all miss you and love you very much.

This is a must buy!

The new 3 Doors Down CD hits the stores on May 20th. We got advanced copies today at the station. It is all that I am listening to. Great stuff! Check them out online at www.3doorsdown.com.

Happy 1st Anniversary

Today is May 13th. It's been one year since Kristi and I both said "I do" in front of that tree at the Park. We have been through a lot in the past year. There have been good times and bad, but I am glad that I have had Kristi with me in those times.
It's hard to believe that it's been almost 20 years since I first laid eyes on her. I love her very much and I am looking forward to many, many more anniversaries. My day started with an Anniversary e-card from Aunt Joan and Uncle Lamar in Colorado. Thanks guys. I hope to make it out that way one of these days to see you all. I miss ya!
Happy Anniversary Kristi. I love you very much!

An Egg Roll, Taquito and a Fat Man!

I had one of my friends from myspace send this to me Sunday morning. I am the on-field announcer/promotions guy at the Wichita Wingnuts baseball games. Apparently this photo was taken when I was working the season opener on Thursday night. They have races with a Quiktrip Hot Dog, Egg Roll and Taquito. They run from foul line to foul line and I run along doing play-by-play. I am glad that he didn't get a picture of me running. There's no other way to say it, I am fat! Looking at this picture makes me realize it more. That sucks!

The Hubbards

Here's a shot of Madison and Zach at Field Day. OK! I think that I am now caught up on the blog after my busy, busy week. I have been very busy with work at the station and with the Wichita Wingnuts baseball team. Have a nice day and Happy Mother's day.

Zach and friends at Field Day

Here is a picture of Zach and a couple school friends enjoying a snow-cone after a hard day on the field.

Zach at Field Day

Here's a picture of Zach in the zone at Kensler Field Day. His Field Day was Friday afternoon.

Maddie and friends

Above is a photo of Maddie and some friends at Field Day. They were laughing about my muddy clothes.

Madison at Field Day

Here's a picture of Madison from Kensler's Field Day. In the photo she is tossing a disc into a mike container. She had a blast.

Field Day gone bad!

Friday was Field Day at Kensler. Madison's was in the morning and Zach's was in the afternoon. I scrambled to work and back to make it to both events. They started Maddie's with a "teachers vs. parents" tug-of-war. Well, it rained like crazy Thursday night and the field was a muddy mess. They teachers beat us, but we all pretty much ended up looking like this. Yes! A Craig Hubbard butt shot! LOL! A picture of my muddy buns. I had to run home and change before returning to work. The kids seemed to enjoy it, but I wasn't a fan.

Maddie's program

Thursday was the Kensler Elementary School 2nd graders music program. The theme was transportation. There were songs about different ways to get from here to there. Zach sat by mom and me at the show and wanted to take a picture. The lighting in the gym was terrible and I couldn't get any good pictures. Zach wanted to take a picture. This was the one that he took. Good pic, Zach! It's a picture of Maddie and some other kids between songs. It was a entertaining show.

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all mothers out there. I hope that you all have a wonderful day. Here's a picture of my mom. Happy Mother's Day. Love, Craig

Busy Bee!

I have not been able to update my blog in a few days. This is the busiest time of the year for me. I hope to have some pictures from the past few days on here soon. I just wanted to keep you updated. Thanks

Wichita Wingnuts take the field

I snapped this photo Tuesday afternoon at Lawrence Dumont Stadium in downtown Wichita. I was there for media day. The Wingnuts open up their inaugural season Wednesday night against the Sioux City Explorers. The Wingnuts are owned by the same company that owns the Wichita Thunder hockey team that I work with. Well, the tradition continues. I am going to be the emcee on the field and in the stands at some of the games. I am going to share duties with my friend, Hank. He works at T-95 (our station) and he's the one that married Kristi and me. We are going there for a "run through" of everything tonight at the stadium. It should be fun. I am exited to get the kids out to see some games.

Remember Hootie and the Blowfish?

Do you remember the Hootie and the Blowfish? They were by far one of the biggest groups of the 90's. They had a great sound and a lot of hits, like "Let Her Cry," "Only Wanna Be With You," "Hold My Hand," "Time," "I Go Blind" and many more. Darius Rucker is the lead singer of Hootie and the Blowfish. He is still with the band, but is also doing a side project. He sat near us at the CMA's in November and I was trying to figure out what he was doing in Nashville. Well, he has a country album coming out. He came by the station to sing his new stuff, and even Hootie stuff. It was great and he is a very nice guy.

Happy Birthday Marcia

May 5th isn't just Cinco de Mayo, it's my aunt Marcia's B-day. She is one of the best aunts in the world! I enjoy getting to see Marcia and uncle Smitty whenever I get the chance. I am sure that she gets her fill of me every September through December. I call Smitty 2-3 times per Denver Broncos game. I call him to vent when they are playing like crap, or to celebrate their win (which doesn't seem to happen a lot anymore). I think that she pretty much expects my calls now.
Marcia is going to get a great B-day present this year when she has a grandbaby. Congrats on that! I hope to see you soon. All the kids (and us adults) want to make it out to Colorado to see you soon. Have a great B-day. Love ya!

Cinco video from the zoo

Above is some video that I shot from the Cinco de Mayo event at the zoo.

Busy Cinco de Mayo event complete!

We had a busy, busy Sunday at Sedgwick County Zoo. One of our stations (Radio Lobo) had it's 5th Annual Cinco de Mayo celebration at the zoo. There were so many people there and it went so smooth. We had a great group of people working on this. The picture above is a group photo we took after the event.

Prom time!

I took this picture Saturday night at Wichita Country Club. I was the DJ at the Wichita Collegiate School Prom. They were a pretty good group of kids. This school year has went so fast.

Tragedy at the Kentucky Derby

I got a chance to watch the Kentucky Derby Saturday afternoon. Big Brown was the winner of the Derby, but that was overshadowed with what happened to the runner-up. Above is a picture of track personnel trying to hold down Eight Belles as jockey Gabriel Saez walks past after the 134th Kentucky Derby Saturday, May 3, 2008, at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Ky. Eight Belles was euthanized after breaking both front ankles following a second-place finish in the Kentucky Derby.

Happy Anniversary Pete and Linda Tilley

This is a day late, but Happy Anniversary to my father-in-law, Pete and his wife, Linda. Here's a photo that I took of them months ago on their four wheeler. I hope that they had a great day. I am sure that they are looking forward to a summer in their camper, but with the gas prices, I bet they will stay close to the acre near Cheney Lake.

Maybe next year.

The Av's season is done. I just stayed up until 11:32 p.m. to watch the Avalanche get smashed 8-2 by the Detroit Red Wings. The Av's were swept 4-0 in the best of seven series. The Av's had so many injuries and they didn't have a chance. They were dominated. I have to go for the winner of the Dallas Stars/San Jose Sharks series now. I have always hated the Red Wings. They rate up there with the New York Yankees, Dallas Cowboys and Kansas City Chiefs in my book. I hope that the Av's have Joe Sakic back next year. They will always be my favorite NHL team. At least they made the playoffs this year. :)

What the Hail?

I didn't run into any storms on the road, but it was another story Thursday night at the house. We had a hail storm hit Wichita. Here's the video that I shot above.

I love this time of year!

I took this picture Thursday night on K-15 between Mulvane and Udall, KS. I had to drive to Winfield to pick up banners for a client. I was not thrilled about having to do it, but it's my job. It was the only night that Kristi and I had alone and I was stuck driving to Winfield and back. I did take the camera, though. I took this picture of a Thunderstorm in the distance. I didn't run into any storm, but I saw a ton of deer on the way back. I will put more storm shots on the blog when I get the chance.

Kid Rock

Here's a picture of me with Kid Rock from Friday night. I just got the picture e-mailed to me this morning and wanted to share it with you. That Kid Rock concert that we had last week was awesome. He had Rev Run (from Run DMC) ad Peter Wolfe (J. Geils Band) with him. It was very cool to hear the Run DMC classics and hear J. Geils hits like "Centerfold" and "Love Stinks" sung by the guy that sang the songs in the early 80's. Great show. Check it out if you ever get the chance.

Do or die for the Av's tonight

Tonight is the night for the Colorado Avalanche. They are down 3-0 in the best of seven series against Detroit. Tuesday night the Av's lost by a goal. They have to win four in a row to move on to the Western Conference Finals. This is a huge challenge, because Detroit had the best record in the regular season and they are a tough team (I hate them). I think that the Av's can do it. They gotta start clicking tonight. Go Av's!
